These Commissioners are appointed for life, and are tasked solely with determining who is put in charge of where. Officially the commissioners are involved in anything that would put someone in charge of more than one solar system; but they tend to deligate where prudent.<br /> <br /> Commissioners differ from [[Field Commander]]s in that a commissioner is specifically to assign regional commanders, whereas Field Commanders can only be appointed by the [[Blind Consul]].
