==History==<br />
Goreska began as a small, relatively unimportant province in a distant part of the [[Marcon Alliance]]. Many Marconians had settled there, as it was one of the last frontiers conquered by the empire. When the Marcon Alliance was destroyed at the begining of the [[Mage Wars#The Second Chaotic Period|Second Chaotic Period]], Goreska was remote enough to be spared.<br />

However, Goreska was a dry, arid region, with few natural resources of their own and previously had relied on the greater Marcon Alliance to maintain their army. The Goreskins continued the Marconian customs of slavery, oppression of women, and conquest, though they had little success with the last.<br />
<br />
As the events of the Second Chaotic Period devolved, the Goreskins were able to win more and more victories, eventually completely abandoning their original territory in favor of more fertile ground. They constructed one of the last [[Mage Tower]]s, which they named "Darkest Spite" in accordance with Marconian religous beliefs.<br />
<br />
The Goreskin Empire was finally destroyed by Eieber in [[A.Y.]] 12, at the [[Battle of the Sanguine Gulch]].<br />
