The [[Marcon Alliance]], which then controlled much of the [[Greater Continent]], was struggling for a foothold in the [[Agras Plain|Agras]] and [[Lowland Plains]] regions. Given that the Marcons controlled vast territories throughout the verse, it was seen as an insult that they could not control the whole of their capitol world.<br /> <br /> A near continual battle was fought over the Lacados during the tail-end of the Dynastic Period, as numerous warring states across the Agras teamed up to defend their territory.
