Arannco is a stylized dance form that arose during the Golden Age. It shares many similarities to ballet and is sometimes conflated with it. The key difference is that arannco was never a performance dance but rather a form of recreation. In usage it can be better compared to a form calisthenics that practices grace and movement while also providing exercise. Arranco was primarily done by women but some men engaged as well. A subset of the form called 'fru-arranco' played a role in courtship rites and included dancing for one's partner.
