Red Thread

Red Thread is an enchanted material that takes the form of either thread or yarn. It is always, as the name implies, the color of red. Red Thread is used to bind a changeling into its present shape, and can prevent even a dragon from transforming. The primary ingredient is Red Oroche, from which Red Thread draws its name.
