Jeremy Bates

Jeremy is a childhood acquaintance of Scarlet's, who appears briefly in the first book and makes brief cameos in later volumes. They are friends after a fashion, kindred spirits, but not much more. He lives in Scarlet's neighborhood and they frequently copy homework from each other.

Jeremy attends Scarlet's middle school as well as the highschool she goes to in book 3. He later attends the Foundation School under the Keep.
